Designing clarity to improve user experience for Renthub
Redesigned landing page and apartment detail page for better readability, eliminate overload with a clean modern design appearance.
Overview
Renthub is a popular rental platform for finding apartments, condos, and rooms for rent in Thailand.
Concerns
Some parts of the original website contain cluttered sections with overlapping information, requiring content reorganization for better clarity.
Purpose of redesign
To transform a cluttered, outdated layout into a streamlined experience that helps users quickly find the information they need.
Redesign two separate menu bars into one and combine different search types into a single search function while streamlining the price entry so user don't need to refill the same information multiple times.
Before
It is confusing having two menu bars.
While searching for apartments, I noticed that search process was inefficient users had to repeat the same filters (BTS/MRT, School, Province, Popular Area) even though they had already been set in the main search box.
After
Menus were merged into one and replace the vague CTA ‘New Listing’ with the more intuitive ‘For Rent', to make the purpose clearer helping users easily understand whether they want to rent out or find apartments.
Redesigned the search area into a single, simplified interface that reduces repetitive input.

4 submenu tabs redesign
Simplified apartment exploration by merging three sections into one, supported by sub-menus for smoother navigation.
Before
Users have to scroll down and scroll up to check different apartment types.

After
Improved apartment exploration by consolidating all types into one section with sub-menus, reducing the need for users to scroll up and down repeatedly.
Replaced the ‘Verified Listing’ text label with a clean, modern verification icon to create a simpler and more visually appealing design.

Unified all related information together in one organized layout.
Before
Three separated sections with related content which takes much space and information scattering.
After
Combine the layout into one section, grouping related information for a clean, minimal look while keeping numbers prominent and content clear.
Organized rentals by popular areas for clearer navigation.
Before
Each of the three sections highlights apartment rentals near popular places, resulting in redundant functions.
After
I redesigned it into a single, concise layout that showcases rentals across different popular areas reducing information cluttered and improve clarity.
For apartment details, improve readability by restructuring the content, putting all necessary details in the first place.
Before
Details description of apartment is making parallel view with nearby rentals apartments making users' eyes confusing with important contents.
After
Change the content hierarchy with updated layout still maintaining all information.
Remove overlapping menu (Room and Room Type) and add more focus for the content area.
Before
Different room types are already displayed with separated rows so having the same menu makes user confusing.
After
Removed one menu and adjusted color opacity, adding stronger table colors for better clarity.

Clean the unnecessary information of room amenities.
Before
Listing all amenities, including unavailable ones, reduced clarity and harmed readability, also taking unnecessary space.

After
Show only available amenities with clean layout.

Update the visual design with prominent rating numbers.
Before
The layout for reviews and ratings occupy more space than necessary.

After
Improved review visibility by highlighting rating numbers with bigger text alongside with each rating description saving extra space.

What I have learned through this project
Through the redesign, I learned the importance of balancing usability with visual appeal. By iterating on layouts, I discovered how small design adjustments like reducing clutter and emphasizing key details can create a big impact on user experience.
